Labour, Training, and the 2010 Olympics

The Impact on Communities Coalition (IOCC) and Think City are co-hosting a free public forum on how the 2010 Olympics are doing in terms of meeting inner-city employment commitments and its impacts on labour in the city.

Expert panelists including BC and Yukon Building Trades' Wayne Peppard, Bladerunners' Gary Jobin and Atira Women's Housing Society's Janice Abbott will compare the Vancouver 2010 Olympics with approaches in other Olympic cities past and present, such as London's 2012 Olympics and the 2000 Sydney Games.
