Date: Feb 3 2008 - 1:00pm - Feb 3 2008 - 4:00pm Location: Vancouver, BCWhat: Family fun event with opening and closing ceremonies, skit games like the Welfare Hurdles, Broadjump over a bedbug infested mattress, poverty line high jump. Mascots. Brand new End Poverty Torch built by Downtown Eastside artists will be unveiled. Food including cockroach cake, and our very own end poverty anthem (to the tune of Oh Canada). It should be fun and we'll invite the media and send releases to foreign media too. See you there.
