Provides free, confidential support services for female adults and youth who have experienced any form of male violence. Operates a 24-hour rape crisis line, a transition house for battered women and their children, and a women's organizing centre. Services include 24-hour crisis intervention, safe transitional housing, emotional support, peer counselling, support groups, advocacy, information and referral, legal clinic, and medical and legal accompaniment. Also operates a public education program and speakers bureau. Provides free training for volunteers with the transition house and rape crisis line. The centre helps women organize with other women to end male violence against women. Nonprofit society; feminist collective.
