This new LSS fact sheet series outlines the consequences that arise for clients beyond the criminal implications of a conviction. Each title has a companion piece for the client, available in the Publications section of this website. This series will be expanded in the future.

This fact sheet is good for criminal lawyers working on fraud charges in relation to welfare benefits, to help them also understand the possible welfare consequences. The fact sheet also suggests possible defences/ strategies that criminal lawyers may want to explore in such cases.
