CLEO now has text and audio materials on eight high-need legal topics available in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin and Simplified Chinese), Somali, Spanish, Tamil and Urdu. Topics include sponsorship, children's aid, worker's rights, what happens if your child has been charged with a crime and more.
These materials are designed to be printed and distributed by community organizations. People may make as many copies as needed. Audio versions of the eight topics can also be heard on each language page, or can be downloaded and burned onto a CD.
On a pilot basis, Findhelp is providing this project with a 24/7 toll-free multilingual information and referral service for people across Ontario who are looking for legal help. You can access this toll-free line by calling 1-866-667-5366, (TTY) 1-888-340-1001. CLEO thanks Findhelp Information Services for giving telephone support to this project.
