The Traveling Poverty Law Advocate is a not a lawyer and does not work for the government. The Traveling Advocate does provide assistance and information to the public regarding poverty law issues such as tenants’ rights and dispute resolutions, welfare information and appeals, disability benefits information and appeals, Human Rights complaints, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income Supplement, the S.A.F.E.R program, and employment standards.
