Woman North Network

Woman North Network
About:

In 2000, Northern FIRE: The Centre for Women's Health Research at UNBC was established to undertake community development and research activities aimed at exploring and addressing the determinants of women's health in Northern British Columbia.

One major initiative of Northern FIRE was the Women North Project, a community-based research project that gave voice to northern women's health strengths and needs at an individual, organizational and community level.

The Women North Network (WNN) is a primarily web-based network of more than 300 northern women and organizations that provides a mechanism for women to share information and develop joint health-related research, action, and policy initiatives.
