Vulnerable workers and precarious work

In 2008, the Law Commissioner of Ontario started to look at part-time work, short contract positions and other forms of “precarious” work, against the background of the social issues affecting vulnerable workers. They looked at how recent immigrants, racialized communities and women are disproportionately engaged in various forms of “precarious” work.

They have now released an interim report on the increase of vulnerable workers and precarious jobs and are looking for public feedback. You can read the report, Vulnerable Workers Interim Report - August 2012 and share your feedback on their website.
