Canadian Centre for Elder Law publishes new fraud awareness resources for seniors‏

The Canadian Centre for Elder Law has just published a series of educational tools on fraud awareness, designed specifically for seniors, entitled Be a Savvy Senior: Fraud Protection Strategies for Seniors.

The three main elements of the tool set are:

1. A bilingual 2014 (French/English) fraud awareness wall calendar
2. A series of 5 fact sheets
3. An animated video

The tools provide examples of frauds targeting seniors, identify red flags of a scam, and provide straightforward strategies for protecting yourself.

The English and French fact sheets and videos can be downloaded for free from the CCEL website below.
