Job Description: 

We are seeking a keen, energetic and experienced team player to be our Operations and Administration Director. In this position, you will work closely with the Executive Director and management team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of DABC’s programs and projects.

Skills and Qualities Required: 

- Post-secondary education in non-profit management, or 5 years experience in similar non-profit position
- Strong administration and time management skills
- Experience with budgets and financial management
- Strong writing and analytical skills; extremely detail oriented
- Strong computer skills with good working knowledge of databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong ability to multitask
- Experienced in working as part of a team, and independently taking initiative

- Experience working in a busy office providing front-line services to vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of disability issues
- Experience updating WordPress website
- Experience working with/managing volunteers
- Experience with community outreach

Duties and Responsibilities: 

Grant and report writing, program/project management
- Assists with preparing grant applications, tracks grant deliverables, prepares monthly/quarterly funder’s reports
- Liaises with funders to ensure clear communication and a positive working relationship
- Assists in the management of programs and projects

Financial and Fundraising
- Works with DABC’s bookkeeper to manage operational and program budgets
- Reviews financial statements and assists with budgets and financial management
- Plays a key role in DABC’s annual fundraising gala
- Helps with fundraising, donations, and donor development as required

Human resources and office management
- Responsible for human resources administration including personnel files and benefits
- Supervises administrative support staff, and volunteers as required
- Manages office leases, contracts, and insurance
