Shelter Net BC is a network of groups who provide shelters for people in BC. Attached as well is a recent list of shelters available for women, men and youth in Vancouver (in PDF).

The Citywide Housing Coalition is a Vancouver-based coalition of housing activists organizing for affordable housing in BC. Their website has news, photos, and information on past and future issues and actions.

Calgary Housing Action Initiative is a coalition of individuals affected by the housing crisis, other allies in the community, organizations, support agencies, political groups, politicians, and anyone else who can help in trying to make positive change to bring an end to this crisis and ensure adequate housing for all in this city. Their website has an event calendar, resources, news and more.

Canadian Housing Equality Resources is a national website developed by the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation (CERA) to provide community advocates with tools to help them effectively challenge discrimination in housing. The site includes key case law related to human rights in housing, links to relevant provincial and territorial human rights legislation, policy and research documents, and a comprehensive guide for advocates.

The Alberta government website publications and forms page has applications and fact sheets on income assistances about seniors', disability, and housing.

The Dalhousie Legal Aid Service in Halifax, Nova Scotia has created a Tenants' Rights Website. There is a Tenant Rights Guide to help tenants understand their legal rights on this site. There are also links to important documents that you'll need to fill out if you are involved with Residential Tenancies in Nova Scotia. And there are also links to other useful information and tenant organizations around Canada.

Wellesley Institute Blog is a blog for the Toronto based institute with news, reports and research on health, housing and other poverty issues.

City of Vancouver Housing Centre, is Vancouver's community services group, housing centre department, home page. Information on rental housing in Vancouver, the tenants assistance program, and a map index page that shows neighbourhood maps detailing locations of non-market housing.

Aboriginal Housing Association (NAHA) website offers resources related to Aboriginal/FirstNations houing/homelessness issues. Mission: "To build safe and healthy Aboriginal communities by supporting Aboriginal housing corporations to achieve standards of excellence in the management and delivery of quality affordable housing and counseling support services to Aboriginal tenants and potential homeowners."

About 40 housing and homelessness advocates from across Ontario have created the Housing and Homelessness Network in Ontario (HHNO) after two days of meetings at the University of Toronto in February. The Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario website provides more information about the HHNO.
