Dial-A-Law is a library of scripts prepared by lawyers which offers you general information on a variety of topics on law in BC including Criminal Law, Housing, Credit, Debt and Consumer, and Employment and Social Benefits. Dial-A-Law offers services in English, Simplified Chinese and Punjabi. Canadian Prison Law is a resource site of prison law cases and of statues and legislation that involve prisoners and prisons.

Canadian Housing Equality Resources is a national website developed by the Centre for Equality Rights in Accommodation (CERA) to provide community advocates with tools to help them effectively challenge discrimination in housing. The site includes key case law related to human rights in housing, links to relevant provincial and territorial human rights legislation, policy and research documents, and a comprehensive guide for advocates.

Law Courts Education Society of BC has an extensive website aimed at making justice more accessible. There are resources, online learning tools, self-help tools and other hands-on educational programs and services to the general public, as well as to youth, First Nations people, ethnic and immigrant communities, and people with disabilites.

LawLine Journal Blog was created to share some of the solutions to the legal problems of callers to LawLINE a phone service of the Legal Services Society for people with low incomes who face legal issues in British Columbia, and to give some insight into the lives of legal aid lawyers as they serve the public with information and advice.

CLEONet's Organizational List is a large resource of links to organizations in Ontario and across Canada that deal with community legal education in many different capacities.

Community Legal Assistance Society (CLAS) provides a number of legal and advocacy services in the areas of disability, mental, human rights and poverty.

Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) undertakes solid legal and research services on behalf of consumers. “It will make it easier for community groups to request pro bono assistance. It will help lawyers find the type of pro bono work that interests them, and help them practise better, faster and easier, to produce high quality work for their pro bono clients,” said Charlotte Ensminger, acting executive director of Pro Bono Law of BC. What is pro bono work? Pro bono work means legal work for a person who has a legal problem, who cannot afford legal services, and who is ineligible for legal aid. It also includes legal work performed for free for non profit organizations, and public interest advocacy. Pro bono work includes: representing a client who has no other access to a lawyer or the court, or whose case raises issues of public interest, doing non-litigation work as a solicitor, being involved in community legal education, legal research, or law reform, being involved in a clinic that provides free legal information and summary advice, giving free legal advice and/or representation to individuals or community organizations.

The Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is a US based organization acting as a legal resource for the international human rights community.

The Electronic Law Library is a service of the Legal Services Society with links to the laws, regulations, and legal proceedings of BC and Canada.

ProBono Law of BC's Online Poverty Law Training Course is a free online training course designed for lawyers and of benefit to some non-lawyer legal professionals (such as paralegals and advocates working in areas of poverty law). "The course provides an overview of welfare law, income assistance and disability assistance, effective skills for interviewing poverty law clients, reconsideration applications, tribunal proceedings and judicial review applications. Each self-paced module includes quick links to resources, a case study and quiz. The Law Foundation of British Columbia provided funding for this project."

The Supreme Court of Canada Acts and Rules webpage is a good resource for those who may need to attend Supreme Court without a lawyer.

The Access to Justice Network (ACJNet) is an electronic community that brings together people, information, and educational resources on justice and legal issues of interest to Canadians. It uses new technologies to create and distribute products and services and to facilitate broad base consultations. ACJNet makes law and justice resources available in either official language.

Pivot Legal Society is a non-profit legal advocacy organization located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside." Pivot focuses its efforts strategically to address the legal and human rights challenges commonly faced by those on the fringes of society, such as sex workers, illegal drug addicts, and the homeless." The Pivot Legal Society website has a number of articles and resources related to individuals living/working in the Downtown Eastside.
