The Seniors Gateway is a searchable website of legal information and resources for seniors.

The Office of the Commissioner of Review Tribunals (CPP/OAS) has added a database Old Age Security legal information, such as case summaries, conditions of personal information disclosure, general public information on legal assistance, and links to recent publications.

Some interesting sites resulting from seniors organizing: the Seniors' Network of BC provides "a central advocacy body through which seniors' groups in BC, and people advocating for seniors, can discuss their concerns, take action when necessary and present their common views to various levels of government; the B.C. Coalition to Eliminate Abuse of Seniors (B.C. CEAS) has been formed to "create a network for sharing information identifying issues and coordinating activities," and the 411 Seniors Centre website that runs many programs and services.

The International Federation on Ageing says that older persons throughout the world lack access to the essentials of life as the result of discrimination on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, race, gender or religion, or because of employment practices and legislative barriers.
